BATON ROUGE — Two men accused of stealing autographed memorabilia from a residence in early November remain at large, prompting the homeowner to seek assistance in locating the suspects.
Tim Henderson, a local private investigator, said a client retained his services due to the alleged theft of two items from the client’s residence.
“I reviewed the footage, and what it looked like to me was two white males on bikes pedaled up to the house and took two items,” Henderson explained.
The items included a cap bearing the autographs of Peyton, Eli, and Archie Manning and an autographed football from the renowned Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry. Both items were housed in display cases, and according to Henderson, these were the only two items taken during the incident.
“That was the only two items that had been taken from the house,” Henderson said. “The house had undergone construction for quite some time, and it still has the appearance that it may be under construction. So this may make it more enticing. We checked pawn shops. We’ve talked to the police. As of now, we don’t think that they have any leads or suspects.”
The robbery occurred in the College Town area near Stanford Avenue.
Henderson highlighted distinctive features of the suspects, “The bikes (they were riding) are very unique, One guy appears to have kind of like a miner’s cap with some lights on it. It’s not big like a construction hat, but he definitely had some lighting around his forehead. I don’t know where he got it. And the other bike is pretty distinctive because it has a couple of headlights on it from what I remember.”
