EBRSO identify man killed in deadly crash near Burbank and Bluebonnet

BATON ROUGE, La — A man was killed and a second driver hospitalized in critical condition after a crash overnight Monday, East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies said.

The crash happened at the intersection of Burbank Dr. and Bluebonnet Blvd. near the Walmart Supercenter.

Deputies say Aaron Lodge,56, was driving south on Bluebonnet Bvld. and hit by a Ford Focus at the Burbank intersection.

Lodge died at the scene, deputies said. The driver of the Focus was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The name of the second driver has not been released. Deputies have also not said what may have contributed to the crash, they say the investigation is ongoing.
