DENHAM SPRINGS — A body was discovered Tuesday in an overgrown area off Highway 16 in Denham Springs.
The body of a man was found near Clegg’s Nursery and the Dollar General, just south of Lockhart Road, around 8 a.m. The circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation, but Livingston Parish Sheriff’s deputies say foul play is not suspected.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Livingston Parish Coroner were both on the scene, and parts of Highway 16 were blocked off.

I could find no update on this story. Did they identify the man that they found in Denham Springs? My Uncle has been missing since August 3, 2023. His name is Charles McAlister. He has memory issues and heart issues. The initially had a silver alert out for him, but his case seems to have gone cold. He wrecked his truck in Cameron Parish off of Rutherford Beach Road and they were unable to locate him or a body. It is my fear that he is either wandering homeless, or that he was taken to a hospital and placed in a care facility and due to HIPAA that we do not know that he is there. Maybe they even released him and he is wandering in an area away from his ho.e and where he went missing. Can you confirm the identity of the found body in Denham Springs?
