Police release identity, cause of death of a man found in Zachary pond

ZACHARY, La. – Zachary Police have released the identity and cause of death of a man whose body was found in a pond late Sunday evening.

Police say the body of Brad Fisher, 46, was found floating in a pond around 9 p.m. on February 4. The pond was located near the intersection of Honeysuckle Drive and Pine Thicket Avenue in Live Oak Trace Subdivision. 

Fisher was pronounced dead on the scene. Accidental drowning is the suspected cause of death, according to the East Baton Rouge coroner.

Both the Zachary Police Department and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office were on the scene.

Authorities do not expect foul play. The incident still remains under investigation.
