The body recovered from a pond near an industrial piping business off I-12 in Livingston has been identified as a missing Madisonville man.
Oscar Hopson, 42, was found dead in a pond near Epic Piping, off Hwy. 63. The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office led the investigation, with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies.
Hopson had been reported missing by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard says that the autopsy revealed no signs of trauma, and foul play is not suspected. Hopson’s cause of death is pending toxicology results, which could take several weeks.
