PRAIRIEVILLE — A Prairieville man arrested in 2023 pleaded guilty this week to four counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles and to 15 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13, according to the 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office. The man, Frederick Charles Lake II was originally arrested on charges of child sex materials and sexual abuse of an animal.
He could face 5-20 years in prison per count for possession of pornography involving juveniles. In addition, the charges of possessing pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 carries 10-40 years per count, per the 23rd JDC.
Lake will be sentenced in December.
The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office arrested Lake, 35, on July 11, 2023, and charged him with multiple felonies: 15 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13, eight counts of video voyeurism, four counts of production of pornography involving juveniles, and 12 counts of sexual abuse of an animal.
His bond was set at $8.7 million.
Arrest documents show that in December 2022, the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation initiated an investigation regarding a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children cyber tip.
The documents show the tip was made by Dropbox and received by NCMEC about Lake allegedly uploading child sexual abuse material into his account.
Arrest documents say the Dropbox reported a video of a young girl lying down while an adult touched her. The video was uploaded on December 4, 2022.
In March, authorities received Dropbox records in response to a search warrant for Lake’s account. After reviewing Lake’s Dropbox account, law enforcement found the content separated into multiple folders that included names like “Beast,” “Creep,” “Cute 15”, “Cute girl 1”, “Dutch teen,” “Mine,” and others.
According to arrest documents, in the folder “Mine” and its subfolder “Me” were 180 videos and photos of Lake. Some involved him naked or masturbating. In a subfolder of “Mine,” there were numerous images and videos of a juvenile female. The files showed the young girl in different stages of being undressed, and it appeared that the juvenile was unaware that she was being videoed.
In the “Beast” folder were files of dogs performing oral sex on a man and women. Arrest documents say the folder also included files of a woman having sex with a horse. In eight files, authorities confirmed the incidents happened at Lake’s home, and it appeared he was engaging in sexual activity with the family dog.
In other folders were files of girls and boys under 13. The kids were naked and being raped.
Lake’s sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 15.
