The Baton Rouge Fire Dept. responded to an 18 wheeler on fire on I-10 westbound.
It happened around 4:30pm between the I-10/I-12 split and College exit on I-10 westbound.
The fire department had the blaze under control within minutes, so quickly that an extra truck turned back around.
The truck is empty and there were no reported injuries.
Traffic is moving very slowly approaching the wreck, but the interstate remains open.
