BR: Armed robberies lead to stabbing & separate shooting

BATON ROUGE — Monday night in Baton Rouge closed out with two separate armed robberies that ended with a stabbing and shooting.

It was around 10:30pm when Baton Rouge Police officers responded to Lake Calais Court for a man shot. That’s off of Staring Ln. near Perkins Rd.

The victim told officers he was robbed and then shot twice. Officials said his injuries were considered non-life threatening.

Around the same time, there was another armed robbery where the victim was stabbed.

It happened in the 7900 block of Florida Blvd., near Airline Hwy.

The victim told officers a man tried to take his bike but when he fought back, he was stabbed. Officials said his injury too was considered to be non-life threatening.

Both cases are ongoing investigations and there’s no word at this time if any arrests have been made.
