BR: Father finds daughter dead inside apartment | Arrest warrant issued for boyfriend

BATON ROUGE — East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a potential domestic homicide after a woman’s body was found in an apartment.

Sources tell UWK it was around 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 29 when a father found his daughter, Tonyetta Loveless, 42, dead inside her apartment. It’s unclear at this time exactly when she was killed, on Nov. 28th or 29th. However, Nov. 28th was her 42nd birthday with her body found the following day.

It happened at the Ivy Apartments on Jones Creek Rd.

EBRSO says according to reports, Loveless and her boyfriend were fighting the evening before and he was allegedly seen “brandishing a gun at her.”

A warrant is now out for her boyfriend’s arrest, Andre Weatherspoon, 39, for battery of a dating partner. He has not been charged with the murder for Loveless. Authorities are looking for him to be able to question him about the murder.

Weatherspoon is believed to have fled the area where Loveless was found dead in the apartment.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts or information on the woman found dead inside the apartment should call local authorities immediately or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 344-STOP.

This investigation is ongoing and no further details will be released at this time.
