BR: Gas leak shuts down Centurion St.

UPDATE:

As of 11:25am, the gas leak has stopped. Centurion St. is back open.

ORIGINAL:

The Baton Rouge Fire Department’s Hazmat team is on the scene of a gas leak on Marc Anthony Dr.

It happened around 8:55am. Officials said there are no injuries or any danger to the public at this time.

BRFD said a lawnmower hit a gas line that was sticking up by a bridge. It was a four inch main.

Entergy is on the scene putting in a by-pass to stop leak. Centurion St. is closed to through traffic & expected to remain closed a couple hours.
