BR: Man found shot dead in Brec Park

BATON ROUGE — The Baton Rouge Police Dept. is investigating a shooting death that happened over the weekend.

It was around 9am on Sunday, Aug. 27 when BRPD officers responded to a shooting in a Brec park. This specific Brec park is located in the 2700 block of Monte Sano Ave. That parallels Interstate 110 in Baton Rouge.

Sources tell UWK that a man was found dead near a car with multiple gunshot wounds. He had died on the scene.

No further details have been provided and no details yet on what led up to the shooting death.

The victim’s name has not been released at this time.
