A small plane with two people onboard clipped trees before crashing into a canal on Jackie Cochran Dr. around 9:05am.
It’s unclear what led to the crash, but sources said there are no reported injuries.
The plane is in a canal in Baton Rouge near the Coca-Cola plant off of Plank Rd.
For drivers in the area, traffic may be backed up as officials respond to the scene and eventually, remove the plane from the canal.
