BATON ROUGE — At least two people were injured when their vehicle they were driving in was shot at on Airline Hwy.
Baton Rouge Police took a report of two men shot around 2am on Sunday, Aug. 13. Both men went to a Baton Rouge hospital, which is where police responded to the call for shooting victims.
It happened at the intersection of Airline Hwy. & Plank Rd. with the victims saying they were driving on Airline Hwy. when someone started shooting at them.
The driver in the vehicle was not injured but two passengers were shot in the back and transported to a hospital.
Meanwhile, there was another shooting at the Chevron gas station on Plank Rd. just before 4amwhere a woman was shot. It’s unclear if the two shootings are related. In that case, the woman shot suffered a non-life threatening injury.
At this time, it’s unknown if Baton Rouge Police have any suspects or not on either case. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
