BRPD investigating officer-involved shooting at apartment complex

BATON ROUGE — New details are coming to light after an officer-involved shooting Friday night in which two people died.

UWK is learning there was a custody battle over a child that led up to an argument and fight at the Fairway View Apartments. That’s what officers were responding to at 2225 College Dr. around 10pm.

When officers arrived, sources tell Unfiltered with Kiran that a 23-yr-old man had shot at an 18-yr-old and then allegedly turned the gun towards officers.

The 18-yr-old was shot multiple times and died at the hospital. The teen allegedly pushed the 23-yr-old’s girlfriend during an argument over a child prompting the shooting, sources added.
