BRFD shut off gas along Ardenwood Blvd after reported leak

BATON ROUGE – Baton Rouge Fire officials have shut off gas this morning after a confirmed gas leak on Ardenwood Drive near the DCFS office.

Officials say a construction crew working in the area near the Department of Children and Family Services (DFCS) offices, hit a natural gas line.

The fire department received the call on Thursday at 8:18 a.m. and shut the gas off in the area 25 minutes later.

There were no injuries and no evacuations.
