Baton Rouge General personnel are continuing to work through a cyber attack that began on June 28.
“We are continuing to provide patient care at all locations, but we are working through the effects of a cyber attack that has disrupted some of our systems,” said a hospital spokesperson. “The main thing that’s a little different right now is that we’re temporarily charting the old-fashioned way – on paper – until we can safely bring our electronic medical record and other patient systems back online.”
The spokesperson said the hospital is working closely with state and federal officials, along with third-party specialists to get the hospital systems back to full functionality.
