BRPD: 19-year-old killed in Sycamore Street shooting

BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge Police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened late Wednesday evening on Sycamore Street.

Around 9:22 p.m. on April 8, BRPD responded to the 4500 block of Sycamore Street for a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers found the victim, 19-year-old Montrell Nover dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

According to officials, Nover was outside his home on Sycamore when the shooting occurred. There are no suspects at this time.
