BATON ROUGE — One person has died after a double shooting Saturday night in Baton Rouge.
It happened at an apartment complex on Riley St. around 9 p.m., that’s off of Plank Rd.
Officials say two people were shot, a woman, who was shot in the chest, and another person shot in the leg.
Both people were transported to an area hospital, one in critical condition and another in stable condition. However, the woman did not survive her injuries and died at the hospital.
Earlier in the day around 6 p.m., there was another shooting about two miles away on 68th Ave. A woman was found shot while in her car around 6 p.m. She was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time and it’s unclear what led up to the shootings. It’s also unclear if the shootings are connected.
