BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that left one person dead.
Around 9:44 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, officers were called out to the scene of an accident that occurred in the 300 block of South Boulevard. According to BRPD, the crash involved a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and a 2022 Lexus 250.
Logan Oubre, 26, was the operator of the motorcycle and died at the scene.
So far, the investigation has revealed that Oubre, driving the Kawasaki motorcycle, was traveling eastbound on South Boulevard toward the Nicholson intersection. While going through the Nicholson Drive intersection, Oubre’s motorcycle was struck by the Lexus traveling north on Nicholson.
Both Oubre and his adult female passenger were thrown from the bike in the crash. Oubre was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries.
The female passenger was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Lexus was not injured. The investigation is ongoing.
