BRPD investigating four shootings on Sunday

There have been four shootings within Baton Rouge on Sunday, Dec. 11th. There was also a shooting Saturday night that left a man dead.

The latest shooting happened in the 200 block of N. Eugene St. around 8pm with a man shot at least twice. He was transported to a hospital.

Around 3pm, officers were called to a Baton Rouge hospital for a shooting victim. They learned the shooting happened on Quida Mae Dr. with multiple shots fired.

Earlier in the morning at 7am, a man who was shot was dropped off to a gas station on Airline Hwy. He told officers he was shot somewhere on Prescott Rd. The man was transported to a hospital for his injuries.

Around 6:30am, there was an incident where a woman told officers a man demanded sex in a gravel parking lot and then fired a round. She was injured by shrapnel or the debris from the bullet. The woman went to Woman’s Hospital after an alleged sexual assault where officers met her.

Saturday, Dec. 10th, there was a homicide in the 8800 block of Edwin St. around 6pm. Deandre Duncan, 37, was shot and killed.

Anyone with information on the four shootings or any crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers or submit an online tip anonymously.
