Baton Rouge detectives are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on I-12 East between Sherwood Forest and Millerville at around 10:40 p.m. Thursday night between a pickup truck and a pedestrian.
Detectives believe the pedestrian ran to the middle lane of travel and stopped. The 35-year-old pedestrian died at the scene, according to officials. A driver said the man ran into the road and stopped in the middle of his lane.
The pedestrian’s name will be released after the family is notified.
