Baton Rouge Police responded to a double shooting on Gus Young Ave. in which one of the victims, died.
The shooting happened around 10 am in the 4400 block of Gus Young. Two people were hit by bullets. It’s unknown right there where they were struck, but one victim did die from their injuries at the scene.
He has been identified as Tramaine Phillips Sr., 23. The second victim is a 26-yr-old, who had life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.
No word yet on what led up to the shooting.
