BRPD investigating second homicide of the day

The Baton Rouge Police Dept. responded to the second and third homicide of the day just before 8pm.

The most recent is a double homicide in the 1700 block of Blvd. de Province off of Old Hammond Hwy. Jaylon Carlin, 23, and Ryan Priest, 38, were killed. Priest was a white, homeless man.

A third person, who was also shot at the same scene, was in surgery last night in critical condition.

The first homicide was about a mile away on N. Harrell’s Ferry around 2pm. He was identified as Nikko Haney, 18, a white, homeless man.
