Baton Rouge Police officers responded to the 4100 block of Sherwood St. for a shooting with a mother & daughter injured around 6pm on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022.
A woman in her 40’s appeared to be shot at least twice and was transported to a hospital. She told officers she was inside her home when she heard gunshots outside her home. That’s when she said she ended up shot in her leg and shoulder.
The woman told police her young daughter was also injured and transported to a hospital. It’s unclear at this time if the child was shot or injured by shrapnel from the shooting.
The child & mother’s conditions are unknown at this time.
