Brpd investigating three people shot in total, two of them died

BATON ROUGE —- The latest shootings within Baton Rouge include a double shooting and a separate homicide, in which a person had been shot.

It comes after a violent weekend in Baton Rouge where four shootings and three people who died.

Around 10pm on Sunday, May 21, Baton Rouge Police officers responded to the 12,000 block of Province Place. That’s off of Boulevard de Province and Old Hammond Hwy.

At the scene, officers found a man Abel Palomares, 28, who had died on the scene. His body was found on the ground with a gunshot wound.

Shortly after midnight, officers responded to a double shooting at the Alight Apartments on W. McKinley St.

Once officers arrived, they found one person suffering from a non-life threatening injury. This person was transported to an area hospital.

Inside though, officers found a second person shot, but this person had died from their injuries.

No names have been released in this case either at this time.
