BATON ROUGE —- Three people were injured in a shooting Tuesday evening on Highland Rd.
The shooting happened around 7:30pm on Oct. 17th and officers were alerted to the shooting when an injured victim showed up to the police precinct closed to Highland Rd.
The second district precinct is about 800 feet from where the shooting took place at the AM Food in the 2400 block of Highland Rd.
Officers did find shell casings on the scene and while on the scene, officers were notified that two additional victims showed up to an area hospital saying they too had been shot on Highland Rd.
All three people who were shot had non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the shooting is under investigation.
At this time, there’s no word on any arrests or if any suspects are in custody.
