BRPD investigating two shootings, one on Nicholson & a double shooting involving a teen

BATON ROUGE, La. — Baton Rouge Police are investigating two shooting scenes in Baton Rouge Sunday afternoon.

The first happened just before 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 at 2956 Nicholson Dr., between W. Roosevelt & Iris streets.

A man was shot multiple times and transported to a hospital in critical condition.

Shortly afterwards, officers responded to the area of Voss and Winbourne near Howell Park for a double shooting involving two young teenagers.

One of the victims was picked up on Voss St. while another was on Winbourne. The Voss transport is listed in stable condition while Winbourne was in critical condition.

No further details have been released as to what led up to either shootings or if they are connected. It’s unknown if any arrests have been made, or if anyone has been detained at this time.

Late Saturday night, there was a shooting with a person shot inside a home by a bullet that was shot towards a police officer.
