BRPD responding to double shooting

Baton Rouge Police responded to multiple scenes around 9am after a shooting took place at the corner of Coursey and Stumberg.

Two people were shot, both with non-life threatening injuries. A 26-yr-old man was found shot inside an apartment at the Sherwood Acres Apartments.

A second victim, a 20-yr-old man, who was also shot, was found at a convenience store not far from the apartment complex. It appears he ran after he was shot. Both men were taken to area hospitals.

At least one of the men was shot with a rifle.

No details yet on what led up to the shooting.
