BRPD searching for two teens who escaped juvenile detention center

BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge police are searching for two teens who escaped from the East Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention Center Tuesday night.

Police say David Atkins, 17, and Jeremiah Green, 17, were able to escape around 9:10 p.m. on Nov. 14. They were last seen wearing a white shirt, orange sweats and orange slippers, BRPD said in a Facebook post Thursday morning.

Atkins was in juvenile detention on a first degree murder charge and attempted first degree murder charge. Green was in juvenile detention for armed robbery with a firearm.
