After the main office at Brusly Upper Elementary school took a threatening phone call, the school was placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure
The call came around 2pm with sources telling Unfiltered with Kiran the threat was for a possible shooting at the school in West Baton Rouge Parish.
School officials then notified law enforcement. West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office & Brusly Police responded to the school and secured the entire school grounds. WBRSO also had a helicopter flying above for additional security.
Deputies and officers searched Brusly Upper elementary school and the parking lot but could not locate a potential threat.
A large law enforcement presence remained at the school until all children, teachers and staff were dismissed. No children were injured. No credible threats were located.
WBRSO continues its investigation and anyone with information is asked to call WBRSO at 225-382-5200.
All West Baton Rouge Parish schools are cancelled tomorrow, Dec. 14th ahead of the expected severe weather.
