A Loranger man was arrested and accused of pornography involving a juvenile.
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Chief Jimmy Travis said Rufus Addison, 62, of Loranger, was arrested after an investigation alleging Addison was inappropriately involved with a high school student.
Detectives were contacted by the principal of a Hammond area school, after they discovered the contracted bus driver, Addison, had allegedly been communicating inappropriately with a female student.
As a result of the investigation, Addison was arrested and charged with:
(1) count Pornography Involving Juveniles
(1) count Indecent Behavior
(1) count Computer-aided Solicitation of a Juvenile
Prior to the arrest, the school issued a statement to parents informing them of the investigation, and stating the subject was no longer associated with the school in any way.
