BATON ROUGE – The Capital Area Transit System (CATS) recently updated its users that it will not be offering Touchdown TRAX this football season.
Touchdown TRAX started in 2022 as an affordable way for LSU fans to get to and from LSU home games without the hassle of parking. Fans could purchase a Touchdown TRAX season pass or buy individual passes. It continued the service in the 2023 football season, as well.
There were multiple pickup/drop off locations for riders in addition to the Tiger Stadium stop.
“Tiger TRAX service will be paused this year due to low ridership. We plan to revisit the service in 2025,” Jada Davis, communication manager for CATS, told UWK.
Davis encouraged those interested in the service to visit www.brcats.com, call customer service at (225) 389-8920 or follow CATS on social media.
LSU will face Nicholls State University at home this Saturday, Sept. 7 with a 6:30 p.m. kickoff. Tiger Stadium will celebrate 100 years this year, and fans can expect upgraded LED ribbon boards along with additional lights in the chute and field tunnels, among other celebratory events.
