Here are the Fourth of July celebrations in and around Baton Rouge

There are a variety of Fourth of July events planned all around the area, from parades and fireworks displays to live music and everything in between.

Baton Rouge

Fireworks on the Mississippi – July 4

The annual Fireworks on the Mississippi display in downtown Baton Rouge will light up the Mississippi River on July 4th. . The festivities began at 9 p.m. and can be viewed on either side of the Mississippi River in downtown and in Port Allen.

Kenilworth Independence Day Parade – July 3

The 51st Annual Baton Rouge / Kenilworth Independence Day Parade, hosted by Kenilworth Civic Association, rolls at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 3, down Kenilworth Parkway in Baton Rouge, about four miles south of LSU off Highland Road.

Baton Rouge Concert Band July 4th Concert

They’ll be a red, blue, and white-hot selection of patriotic music, marches, Big Band, and other Americana music to mark the day at the July 4th concert.

The concert will take place at the Main Branch of the East Baton Parish Library, 7711 Goodwood Blvd., beginning at 7 p.m. Wear your red, white, and blue; bring your flags; and don’t forget your water because it’s not just the music that will be hot.

Admission is free.

Fourth of July Celebration at LSU Museum of Art

The LSU Museum of Art will be hosting its 18th annual Fourth of July Celebration on the 6th floor of the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette Street. Enjoy fireworks, dinner by Tsunami, and music. Tickets are required. CLICK HERE TO BUY TICKETS. Proceeds support the museum.

Port Allen

4th of July Fest

Enjoy great food, live music, and fireworks for the 4th of July fest in Downtown Port Allen. This FREE event is open to the public.

Live Music: 5-6:30 p.m. Rockin’ Mozart School of Music Youth Bands & 7-10:00 p.m. Foret Tradition

Fireworks will start at 9 p.m.

Krotz Springs

Fireworks on the River

Experience the beauty of the Atchafalaya River with Fireworks on the River in St. Landry Parish. There will be live music and food. 

New Roads

Independence Day Celebration

The City of New Roads Independence Day Celebration has live entertainment, hot air balloons, face painting, snowballs, a spectacular fireworks display over False River, and a unique patriotic boat parade.

Iberville Parish

July 4th Hometown Celebration

July 4th Hometown Celebration from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Plaquemine Community Center, 57845 Foundry St., Plaquemine.
