CENTRAL — An 18-wheeler has flipped on its side spilling a load of sand onto Greenwell Springs Rd. between the Thruway and Morgan Rd.
This stretch of Greenwell Springs Rd. is closed, and the Central Police Department is asking people to avoid that area while crews clean up the crash. You can take Magnolia Bridge to Sullivan Rd. as an alternate.
It’s unclear how long the road will be closed as they wait for heavy duty wreckers to arrive on the scene.
