CENTRAL — An 18-wheeler overturned after sliding into a ditch Friday afternoon in Central bringing traffic to a complete stop on Hooper Rd.
As of 7:30 p.m., Hooper Rd. has reopened.
It was around 3:15 p.m. when Central Police Chief Roger Corcoran says the big rig driver was headed south on Greenwell Springs and turning west onto Hooper Rd. It slid into the ditch and overturned.
The driver of the big rig had minor injuries.
Hooper Rd. was completely closed at Greenwell Springs.
The 18-wheeler was carrying metal products.
