Central: Motorcyclist killed on Joor Rd. was from Zachary

CENTRAL —— Javan Guinn, 31, of Zachary, was killed while riding his motorcycle early Friday morning in Central.

It happened around 6:45 a.m. in the 12200 block of Joor Rd. on Sept. 20, 2024.

Early reports indicate Guinn was headed east on Hwy. 64 on his motorcycle when the driver of an SUV was attempting to turn onto Joor Rd. and turned into the path of the motorcycle.

Guinn died at the scene. Guinn worked for IBTS, who provides services to the City of Central.

The driver of the SUV was not injured.

“Our prayers are with Mr. Guinn’s family and loved ones. He was a dedicated member of the IBTS team in Central. Our investigation is ongoing,” said Central Chief Roger Corcoran.
