
The Central Police Department has identified the man who died in Friday night’s hit & run on Joor Rd.

Ryan Russell, 38, of Central died after sources tell Unfiltered with Kiran some tools fell out of his truck and he pulled over in the center lane of Joor Rd. with his emergency flashers on. That’s when officials said he was run over.
“Mr. Russell was observed by witnesses standing in the center turn lane of the roadway retrieving items from the road that had apparently fallen out of the bed of his truck when he was fatally struck. It is unknown if motorist impairment contributed to this accident,” said Central Police Chief Roger Corcoran.
The wreck happened on March 11 around 7:30pm in front of the Comite Hills West neighborhood.
“It was initially believed and reported that the suspect vehicle was possibly a 90’s model S10 pickup, red with a white stripe. Through further investigation, Central Police now believe the suspect vehicle is a red, 4-door pickup. This suspect vehicle will likely have damage to the front end,” said Chief Corcoran.
Central PD is asking for help in identifying the truck and driver of the truck. They’re asking people for a license plate number of the truck.
