An elderly man was airlifted to an area hospital after his wife accidentally drove their vehicle into a building, hitting her own husband.
It happened around 10:45am at Ross Tire & Service on Greenwell Springs & Sullivan in Central.
Central Police Chief Roger Corcoran said the couple, who is in their mid to late 70’s, went to the business. The husband went inside to talk about work they needed on the vehicle.

The wife was trying to park in front of the business when Chief Corcoran said it appears she hit the gas, instead of the brake and hit her own husband.
The car ended up completely inside the business. The only person injured was the husband, who was airlifted. His condition is listed as stable for now.
