Central: Police investigating deadly hit & run

Central Police Officers responded to a deadly hit & run on March 11 before 8pm on Joor Rd. near Tynewood Ave., right in front of the Comite Hills West neighborhood.

Sources say a man pulled out on Joor Rd. and his tools fell out of his truck. He got in the center lane with his emergency lights activated & got out of his truck to retrieve his tools when someone drove over him, killing him.

Central Police Chief Roger Corcoran said they’re looking for a small size, red Chevrolet 90’s model S10 pick-up truck with a white stripe running down the side. The truck should have heavy damage to the front end of the truck. If you see this truck, you’re asked to call Central PD at 225-367-1254.

As of 9:30pm, Joor Rd. is back open.
