Child hit after getting off school bus

After an elementary student got off the bus in Central and was running home, the child was struck by a passing vehicle.

Just before 4pm on March 3, 2022, Central Police officers responded to Greystone Dr. & Denham Rd. for a child hit by a vehicle.

Central Police Chief Roger Corcoran said the elementary school student got off the bus and the mother was still talking to the bus driver when the child started running to their home. That’s when a vehicle accidently hit the child.

Thankfully, the child was transported to a hospital and has minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle is fully cooperating and the case remains investigation.
