CENTRAL — A middle school child from Central was injured after getting off a school bus, according to Central Police.
The incident happened around 3:30pm in the 10,000 block of Lovett Rd., right off of Hooper Rd.
Central Police Chief Roger Corcoran said the middle school aged child got off the school bus and was hit by a pick-up truck.
The child was transported to an area hospital. He will not need surgery but did have moderate injuries
Chief Corcoran said after an investigation, no charges will be filed against anyone.
“The bus driver dropped off the child and he was walking along the sidewalk when the driver continued their route,” said Chief Corcoran. “For some reason, the child walked right in the path of the oncoming truck when he was hit.”
It’s why Chief Corcoran said no one is facing any charges.
