Around 1:45pm, Baton Rouge Police officers were alerted to a child shot.
It happened in the 1700 block of N. 49th St. in North Baton Rouge in what appears to be an accidental shooting where the child got to a gun.
The 5-yr-old child was shot in the neck and rushed to a hospital.
