Fundraiser set for Tuesday for woman allegedly killed by her father

CENTRAL — A fundraiser is scheduled for Tuesday to assist with funeral expenses and to provide support for the son of a woman allegedly killed by her father last week.

Christina Deloach was reportedly shot by her father at his home in Shenandoah on March 15, according to East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s deputies. Deputies say that Brent Deloach, 63, shot Christina and his father, Sidney Deloach, 84, before attempting to take his own life. Sidney and Christina were pronounced dead at the scene.

Christina had a 10-year-old son with Central firefighter Ashton Hughes.

The fundraiser will feature a pastalaya sale at the Central Fire Station located at Hooper Rd. and Sullivan Rd. on Tuesday, March 26. Plates will be available for $10 and will be ready between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will contribute to covering Christina’s final expenses and supporting her son.

“All I can say is thank you for everything everyone has done so far, and to continue prayers,” Hughes told UWK. The fundraiser is to pay for unknown expenses in the future and to get Aricin the help I know he will need.”
