BATON ROUGE — The race for East Baton Rouge Mayor-President is heating up as polls close across Louisiana, with early results beginning to trickle in.
Republican Sid Edwards handidly defeated Democrat Sharon Weston Broome in the race for East Baton Rouge Mayor-President. With 100% of precincts reporting, Edwards currently defeated Broome by 8,721 votes.
