DENHAM SPRINGS — State Police troopers are investigating the cause of a deadly crash that happened Saturday afternoon just outside the city limits of Denham Springs.
It was around 3:30 p.m. when Livingston Parish Sheriff’s deputies and State Police troopers responded to 4H Club Rd. (or Hwy 1032) near Debbie Lane in Denham Springs for the crash, that’s about a mile from where 4H Club road meets Highway 16.
At the scene, troopers learned it was a two-vehicle crash involving a 2016 Toyota Avalon crossing the center line into the path of an oncoming 2023 Dodge Ram. A couple was in the car along with a juvenile in the backseat, all properly restrained.

The front passenger in the car, a woman, was rushed to a hospital but did not survive her injuries. Her husband, the driver of the car, had moderate injuries and the juvenile has minor injuries. The driver of the Dodge Ram was also properly restrained and had minor injuries.
Impairment is not suspected according to tropers but routine toxicology samples were obtained and submitted for analysis.
This crash remains under investigation. Charges could be pending the outcome of the investigation.
