Denham Springs woman killed while attempting to cross Florida Blvd.

DENHAM SPRINGS — A 45-yr-old Denham Springs woman was killed while trying to cross Florida Blvd. on Saturday night.

It happened just after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6 on Hwy. 190, which is also Florida Blvd, near Chestnut St. The crash is between Veterans Blvd. and Range Ave. on Hwy. 190.

Ne’Sean Key, 45, of Denham Springs, died after she was transported to a hospital. Denham Police say she was attempting to cross Florida Blvd. from Chestnut St to Carrie Street when she was hit.

A Nissan Altima was headed east on Florida Blvd prior to the crash. Investigators believe Key was walking in the roadway when the crash occurred.

“As with all motor vehicle crashes involving serious bodily injury or death in the State of Louisiana, toxicology samples were taken from both the driver and pedestrian, which will be submitted for analysis, although neither impairment nor excessive speed were believed to be a factor in the crash,” said DSPD.

  1. What is the person’s name that was killed at the Livingston exit? I believe they ran into an 18 wheeler?
