ASCENSION PARISH — A Denham Springs man is facing multiple allegations of first-degree rape.
On Aug. 27, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s deputies started investigation sexual abuse allegations. During their investigation, detectives say they learned 49-year-old Wilson Abreu, of Denham Springs, was a possible suspect and got a warrant for his arrest.
On Sept. 29, deputies with Ascension’s Juvenile Unit arrested Abreu and booked him into the Ascension Parish Jail on four counts of first-degree rape.
His bond was set at $1,200,000.
Abreu has a record of previous arrests, including exploitation of the elderly and multiple counts of residential contractor fraud, which he was arrested for in Ascension Parish in June this year. Two of those charges were dismissed, and Abreu was given probation for the others.
He also was arrested and charged in East Baton Rouge Parish in 2025 and 2026 for residential contractor fraud, theft and home improvement fraud.
