DENHAM SPRINGS — A Denham Springs man was killed Friday afternoon in a crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle on North Range Ave.
The name of the deceased has not been released at this time out of respect for the family, per DSPD, but officials did confirm he is a Denham Springs native.
It was around 3:30pm on Friday, Sept. 15 when DSPD responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and vehicle on North Range Ave. near Oak St.

The preliminary investigation reveals the motorcycle driver was headed south on North Range Ave. and attempted to turn left, across two lanes of north bound traffic onto Oak St. DSPD said a vehicle that was going northbound on Range hit the motorcycle driver as he was trying to make the left turn onto Oak St.
The Denham Springs native was transported to a local hospital after the motorcycle crash, but did not survive his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle did submit to a voluntary blood draw, which is normal procedure for crashes involving death or serious bodily injury.
DSPD said the vehicle driver is not suspected of any impairment. It’s why as of now, DSPD said no arrests are expected.
