DENHAM SPRINGS — Multiple first responders were on the scene of a crash involving a truck and a church bus on 4-H Club Rd on Tuesday evening.
It happened after 6 p.m. on Aug. 27th just south of where Hwy. 1033 meets 4-H Club Rd. in Denham Springs.
Officials had to extricate some of the victims from the involved vehicles. In total, four people were transported to area hospitals, with one person taken by airmed. Three people appear to be in serious condition, according to officials.
The church bus was occupied with some passengers at the time of the crash. The bus was for the Iglesia Centro de Vida church in Gonzales in Ascension Parish.
Livingston Parish Sheriff’s deputies & State Police responded to the crash in Denham Springs involving the church bus and truck, but at this time, no details have been released into the cause of the crash. LSP is leading the investigation.
Drivers are urged to avoid 4-H Club Rd. near Hwy. 1033 allowing first responders to continue working the crash scene.
