DENHAM SPRINGS — Officers have now released more details on the suspect from a stabbing that happened Friday night in Denham Springs.
It was around 7:15 p.m. on March 13 when Denham Springs officers responded to Hummell Street for a stabbing. One person was injured and transported to a hospital via Airmed.
According to DSPD, the victim told responding officers that he was involved in a fight with another man, resulting in a stab wound to his abdomen. The victim is expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect, now identified as Xavier Parker, initially fled the scene but later called the police from a nearby location to report the incident, police say. He has been arrested.
Xavier Parker, 19, is facing charges of aggravated second degree battery, home invasion (major injuries), and theft. His bond is set for $175,500 per the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office jail roster.
